Dr Linda Young, Organising Tutor

In this section:

‘’This course is unique in offering a one-year part-time programme of study which explores a psychoanalytic approach to understanding and working with post-traumatic states and the relationship of this approach to other perspectives, e.g. cognitive behavioural therapy’’.
Dr Linda Young, Organising Tutor

Linda has been working in the Adult and Adolescent departments at the Tavistock and Portman for 20 years. She has worked for the Tavistock Trauma Service since 1990 and has particular interest in post-traumatic state and working with young adults. She established the Understanding Trauma: Principles and Practice course in 1997 because of the lack of training available for professionals working with post-traumatic states with a focus on understanding the psychoanalytic approach.

Linda is a Clinical Psychologist, Psychoanalyst and Adult Psychotherapist.
