Welcome to Academic Governance and Quality Assurance
The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust Academic Governance and Quality Assurance Unit is located within the Directorate of Education and Training.
Our role is to assure and enhance the quality of the Trust’s training provision, especially in relation to courses offered in conjunction with our University Partners.
On these pages you should be able to access useful information relating to the operation of our courses, how we monitor and enhance their quality and what feedback we have received from our current students.
The Trust’s Academic Governance and Quality Assurance Unit’s Core objectives include:
- Working to support course teams to enhance the quality of their programmes
- Formulating and reviewing policy on quality assurance matters as they relate to all Trust training programmes
- Working to promote and encourage innovation and development to enhance the quality of the student experience
- Managing the assessment and external examiner systems
Taking a lead role in Trust preparations for audits and reviews of our training programmes by our university partners and other organisations
