UEL Student Card Policy

In this section:

UEL Student Cards

Please note that the card is not linked to the programme of study so the same card can be used on any other courses once it is reactivated.

UEL do not re-issue cards to students who continue to study with them, even if they change course, as their original card can be automatically re-activated and used for the new course.

Please keep your card for the duration of undertaking studies in Tavistock/UEL.

What happens if I lose my ID Card?

http://www.uel.ac.uk/studentservices/helpdesk/cardsfaqs.htm

We ask you to look after your ID Card and keep it safe. If it is lost or stolen UEL can issue a replacement, but charges £10 for this and the fee can’t be refunded even if your old card turns up. Your old card will be cancelled automatically once you inform UEL it’s lost or stolen.

Payment can be made by sending a cheque (made payable to UEL) or by calling UEL payment line 0208 223 2974 and paying by credit/debit card.

If a card is stolen, please supply a police crime number and there will be no charge.

What information is stored on my ID Card?

The front of your Card has a photo of you with the day, month and year you started your programme at UEL. Your unique Student Number is contained on the barcode. This barcode can be scan read around UEL, allowing you to borrow library books, access buildings and get printing done. It doesn’t contain any sensitive personal information about you.
