The Tavistock is always looking for ways to enable their students to have a voice to help us to make things even better. Each course offers opportunities for formal and informal feedback, including Course Committees held each term.
Additionally, every year, the Trust conducts a Student Feedback Exercise. Students are given a questionnaire to complete in one of their seminars. The Trust produces a separate questionnaire for its Postgraduate Research (PGR) Students who are also invited to take part in the semi-annual Postgraduate Research Experience Survey which is run by the Higher Education Academy.
The feedback we receive is a very important way for us to monitor the quality of our education provision and make improvements. The data collected is analysed from the course level upwards. Course Leaders are asked to comment on the feedback received by students as part of their annual course review. The overall data is reviewed by the Tavistock Quality Assurance & Enhancement Committee and the Training Committee as well as the Trust Board. The PGR student feedback is additionally reviewed by the Research Degrees Sub-Committee and forms part of that Committee’s Annual Report.
The Academic Governance and Quality Assurance Unit also produce quantitative analysis and benchmarking reports to measure the satisfaction rates of our students against national levels. (such as in the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey and the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey).
