Knowledge & training

Where, when and how?

In this section:

Where do I go, when do I start, how do I begin?

Where...?

Most of our courses take place at the Tavistock Centre and Portman Clinic in Swiss Cottage, North London. However, we do deliver courses at other centres around the UK and internationally. We also offer  a wide variety of CPD and other training activities to small or large groups in organisations which means we can come to you.

When...?

The 2010/11 academic year begins on  Monday 4 October 2010. Most courses are part-time and take place one day a week or a half-day a week from Monday to Friday.  Courses take place over three ten week academic terms. Not all courses begin in the first week of term so you will need to check the information on the relevant course page to find out information relating specifically to your course. You can do a search of all our courses by   topic,  alphabetically , by which qualification you wish to pursue and by the course code.

How...?

All enquiries for all our courses come through the central enquiries line at the Tavistock Centre. There are two admissions and general enquiries officers who will  be able to answer any general questions you have about any of our courses as well as put you through to the relevant  course administrator who deals with specific course enquiries.

If you would like to speak to a course organising tutor it is advisable that you submit a contact form and put your questions or concerns in writing so we can answer your questions more quickly. Alternatively you can let your course administrator know you wish to speak to someone in person and they will make an appointment for you.

Applications can be made by using our online application system.  It is important to read the information relating to the course you wish to apply for as start dates, times, venues and application closing dates will vary course-by-course. If you would like to speak to someone in person about making an application you can contact our admissions and general enquiries desk by phone or email.
