Help to develop your understanding of the difficulties of adolescence and young adulthood, increase your skills in working with the 16 - 30 age group and learn about working within a psychoanalytically-informed brief work model.

Who is this course for?

Qualified professionals in the mental health field with some previous experience of working within a psychoanalytic framework, who have an interest in developing their skills in working with adolescents and young adults and in working within a brief (4 session) model.

Content/Teaching components

Students attend one weekly seminar (one and half hours in length) where detailed presentations and discussion of YPCS case material takes place.

Each seminar is led by a senior clinician with experience of working within this model.

Over the course of the year, students will have the opportunity of seeing a number of clients themselves within the service, and then presenting this work within the seminar.

26th June (late applications may be considered).

Time commitment

Seminars take place on Tuesdays (2.15pm - 3.45pm) and Wednesdays (10.00am - 11.15am).
